My London Part One.

So for those of you that don't know, I'm at university in London studying Medicine at the moment, and I'm loving every minute of London life, okay maybe not when the tubes mess up. But London is such a vibrant, cultural and breathtaking city.
I've only been at uni two months, and I've got another four and a bit years to go! During these years I intend to explore as much of London as physically possible. Here are a few of my favourite places I've come across so far.
I will update you when I have compiled a few more!

Spitalfields Market/Brick Lane
The smells in this market are something I cannot describe, every cuisine you could ever imagine from Singapore, Ethiopia, Lithuania, Spain and everywhere in between is served here. I plan to make my way around every food stall! The clothing market also has reasonably priced clothes, I picked up some vintage levi shorts for £15 pounds here. There's also a MAC, Benefit, and other high end make-up, beauty and clothing shops.
Nearest tube Aldgate East/ Liverpool Street.

Millenium Bridge
Walk along this bridge and you've got West London one way, the Tate modern another, the Shard and London Bridge downriver and spectacular St. Paul's Cathedral behind you. It is really quite breathtaking to walk along here on a sunny day, especially on a cold crisp evening.
Nearest tube Blackfriars/St. Pauls

Covent Garden
A tourist favourite, and for good reason! Street performers, quirky shops like David and Goliath, Laduree and lots of stalls selling original gifts and crafts. I went the other day and the Christmas lights are stunning, they make you feel so festive! There is a huge selection of restaurants and bars, however beware drinks are very pricey, even by London standards. Walk south of Covent Garden for a few minutes and you'll get to TuttiFrutti froyo, seriously nommy!
Nearest tube Charing Cross/Covent Garden (gets very congested)

Southbank
Go for a run, go for a walk or watch the BMX guys do their tricks in the skate park. Plenty of restaurants and bars with gorgeous views over the Thames. I can't wait for all the Christmas markets this year, the Southbank is full of them!
Nearest tubes Waterloo/Charing Cross/Embankment

Me and my friends on Waterloo bridge :)

Enjoy London!
