Summer Holsss

Hello All!
So I'm back from my summer holiday (already missing the sun). I went on a little trip around Europe basically. And it was a lovely holiday, hot weather, pool, beach, city etc etc. So here's a little run down of what I did and some photos too...

Drove England-France via Channel Tunnel
Drove France- Germany/Austria. Went for some walks around the mountains (really pretty) and went on a luge thing and to a massive swimming pool
Drove Germany-Italy. For the main part of the hols we stayed in Lake Maggiore in Italy. It was gorgeous, hot weather, beach, pool, amazing food and we also went to Milan for a day which was lovely.
Drove Italy-Switzerland. Saw the Matterhorn (mountain) and then we stayed in Lake Lucern, really pretty lake, really hot, went for a little walk in the mountains and swam in the lake etc.
Drove Switzerland-Germany. Take two! We stayed on the shores of the Rhine, which was nice, went on a little boat trip down the Rhine, where it was also reaaaally hot. Then came home :(
Here's some piccys for yaaa.

Someday Summary. Friday.

Taking a leaf out of Zoe's book, I'm doing a little summary of the day/week/month...whatever :)

- So I'm currently sat here on my college holidays, waiting to go to work later, how I love working on a Friday evening, bye bye social life. I've only just started to relax, I've been to a few uni open days, had my driving theory (passed), so today was my first lie-in in a while!
- Been reading 'Apartment 16' during my various train journeys, so good! If you love horror/suspense novels definitely a must read!
- In love with Nicki Minaj at the moment, she's just too cool. Totally didn't completely learn all the words to Superbass during my various train journeys...what- they were really long!
- Brings me onto the subject of trains :L Too many journeys to count in the past fortnight. Get me another form of transport please!
- Superduper excited about my holiday next week, bye bye UK hello Italy. That means sun, sand, pool, pasta and ice cream!!

Hope you're all well, hit me back! xxx

Skirts.

After a recent much needed clear out of my wardrobe it occurred to me that I hardly have any skirts. Of course I have the obvious black bondage skirt and a like a work type one, but no casual everyday skirts.

So I started on the hunt for some skirts I could wear to college, maybe dress up or down and that would last...here are some of the styles I found.

Full
I saw this picture of Taylor Swift in Look Magazine and fell in love with the entire thing. The mix of brights paired with a classic Breton tee, the nautical vibe without being to follow-the-crowd. The exact skirt can be found in Zara for about £30 I believe, but for a student thats quite a bit of money for one piece, so maybe just a lust item for now. Sad face.

Staying with the full skirt theme, I saw this skirt on ASOS and loved it. I adore the nude and black combo, but at £129, way way out of my price range. However with this skirt i did find a solution...the same skirt (basically) in good ol' Primarni for £12, in blue and white. Unfortunately  I am unable to find my camera and so cannot take a pic, but honest to blog, it is the exact same style. Result.

Floral
A gorgeous classic floral skirt will take you from spring to summer to autumn when paired with tights. This lovely one is from H&M and comes in tonnes of different prints. Belt in, tuck a top in, have a flowy top out. Plus its on sale atm!! Need I say more.
Here is another floral skirt paired with a jumper and socks. Me love, me want!

Chiffon
Chiffon is so appealing as it is so feminine and floaty. I love the way this is belted with a oversized top, just think of all the colour combinations you could have. Again sadly, this one is £45 from American Apparel, so probably a no no for me :( I am constantly searching for a lookalike without the hefty price tag, but it is hard to find cheap chiffon that doesn't look cheap or feel really plastic-y.

So some skirt inspiration, but upsettingly my wardrobe remains pretty skirt-free. If anyone has seen any nice/cheapish skirts recently please let me know!!

Hope everyone is doing well, see you all soon
